Sydney began her nursing career at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, supporting youth with complex medical and psychiatric conditions. She later worked at Nemours Children’s Hospital, providing psychiatric consultation across ICU, emergency, and inpatient units, as well as outpatient behavioral health care.
Prior to nursing, she conducted cognitive neuroscience research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked as a residential counselor at McLean Hospital.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Rochester (magna cum laude) and completed both her BSN and MSN at University of Pennsylvania, where she also received a research grant to study the mental and physical health benefits of dance.
