Emily Bernstein, MD

Dr. Emily Bernstein is a Board-certified Psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 20 years. She serves as a Managing Director for Fine Tune Psychiatry. Dr. Bernstein has a specialty and strong interest in womens’ mental health issues throughout the life span, as well as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. She has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Her treatment approach is very collaborative, supportive and inclusive.

Dr. Bernstein also serves as the Lead Physician and Director of Women’s Mental Health at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates where she maintains a practice providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management and psychotherapy. In her role as Director of Women’s Mental Health and Lead physician, she provides education, peer support and mentorship to clinicians in the practice. 

Dr. Bernstein has been awarded “Top Doc” from Main Line Magazine in 2013, 2024 and 2025. She was named a “WebMD preferred provider” in 2024 and 2025. She is licensed in PA, NJ, DE and NY.

Education and training:

Dr. Bernstein graduated from The University of Pennsylvania Summa Cum Lauda with a degree in History. She then completed medical school at the The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and did her Psychiatry Residency at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
